Coming Home to Yourself - An Eco Therapy Trauma Recovery Group

Coming Home to Yourself is a gentle foundational trauma recovery group for women who are in the beginning stages of their trauma recovery journey or women who feel like they have been on their journey for years but continuously experience this feeling of getting pulled back and lost into their past over and over again.

This group is not about "deep processing of your trauma experiences". This group is where safety begins or is re-established. This group is where you learn to rediscover your authentic self while being held in nature.

This three-week group weaves together nature-based practices along with evidence-based practices such as CBT, parts work (IFS), Somatic Therapy, Expressive Arts, and mindfulness techniques to rebuild/relearn a sense of internal safety, trust, and connection - slowly, compassionately, and without pressure.

Group Schedule:

Week One: Establishing Safety and Self-Care
We begin by creating steadiness. Through restorative meditation and gentle nature practices. You will begin to understand your nervous system, your triggers, and what is means to feel safe again - not just in the world, but within yourself.

Week Two: Exploring Trust, Anger, and Connection
We explore emotions many women are not given permission to feel. Anger, boundaries, needs, and trust are approached with compassion and curiosity. You will begin to connect with your voice, your limits, and your right to take up space.

Week Three: Exploring Shame, Self-Image, and Compassion

When:
Sunday May 17th 12:00-3:00pm
Sunday May 24th 12:00-3:00pm

From Broken Ground - Where Strength Takes Root a Resiliency Workshop

Prairie River Counseling and Transcending Yoga have partnered to offer a day workshop at Stone State Park Lodge. This is a foundational loss and resiliency group for individuals who have experienced any form of loss in their life.

This group is not about “processing the deep loss of someone or something” but about beginning the journey of reclaiming control of the felt sense of loss and honoring these parts of yourself once again.

From this broken ground, you can rediscover the strength and resiliency that has been living your very human body this whole time. The seed is already there; you just need to nurture it.

This day retreat weaves together nature-based and somatic therapy practices to create space for reflection and reconnection. Though a blend of evidence-based and holistic approaches, participants will be invited to realign with the mind, body, soul, and the natural systems around them.

When: Saturday October 3rd 10:30am - 4:00pm

Where: Stone State Park - Stone Lodge

Within The Seed - A Therapeutic Restorative Event

The Oracle Herd partnered with Prairie River Counseling is offering a holistic/therapeutic and energy/yoga focused approach this coming spring.

As we lay in the cool dark soil, life begins long before it is seen. A seed...

A seed which lives in each of us, a quite becoming, an intention filled with warmth. This sacred seasonal gathering invites you to slow down, soften, and listen to what may be stirring beneath the surface, our sacred soil.

The first hour will begin with a Slow Flow/Yin-inspired yoga practice infused with subtle energy work, allowing our earthly bodies to open to the fertile earth. Within this earth, the nervous system will settle, allowing the seeds of our hearts to soften so gently.

In the second hour, held in the steady wisdom of the Herd and the rhythm of the season, we will then move into a guided reflection and seeding ceremony. Through journal prompts and seed planting, we will explore anchoring our intentions not as a goal to chase, but as a living energy to nurture.

The Herd teaches us growth happens when we are in community.
Mother Earth teaches us nothing blooms before it takes root within the darkness.

Come gather
Come plant
Come explore what is already growing within you.

When: Sunday May 3rd 10:00am-12:00pm
Where: Core Studio downtown Sioux City

Into The Stillness - A Therapeutic Restorative Event

The Oracle Herd partnered with Prairie River Counseling is offering a holistic/therapeutic and energy/yoga focused approach this coming fall/winter.

As the seasons shift, many of us feel fatigue or heaviness as we head into the winter months. This workshop is about honoring the portal between life and death as we move into the hibernation of winter. Instead of going into winter with dread and judgement, we explore ways in which we can begin to be gentle with ourselves and celebrate this natural transition of the season. We will honor what is to be released and set the seed of intention one wishes to nurture through the winter months.

Nature as Our Teacher
This workshop will begin by connecting to the energy of nature and the season through reflection, journal prompts, and discussion. Allowing one to honor what needs to be released and set a new intention for the season.

Guided Energetic Artwork
Next, with the use of energetic artwork one can gently move the body through this transition/portal - from the release or death of what no longer serves them and allow oneself to then BE with the seed of intention they wish to bloom or be birthed in the spring months.

Restorative Yoga Practice and Energy Work
We will then move into a restorative yoga practice inspired by your own seed of intention. Honoring one's body and spirit as we are called into the sacred hibernation of winter. During this practice one can choose to receive or not receive energetic work with the intent to clear and recharge one's energetic aura and fields.

Step Into the Stillness of winter with clarity, peace, and renewed energy.
